    The Biomedical Engineering Laboratory in the Center for Advanced Engineering includes:

    • The only undergraduate virtual reality robotic system used to study how the brain controls movements.
    • A research-grade motion-capture system to record physical activities such as running.
    • A Lap-Mentor Surgery simulator to practice performing virtual surgeries.
    • 3D printers to create composite and ceramic materials for bio-fabrication.

    Motion Capture Laboratory: Use the same motion tracking technology as seen in the “Avengers” movie to analyze human motion. 
    Biomedical Heat and Mass Transfer: Learn how the principles of biomedical heat and mass transfer apply to dialysis machines and heart-lung machines to keep patients alive.
    Bioengineering Laboratory: Conduct experiments on how to safely return to sports after ACL reconstruction.
