Do you have a minimum requirement for the GRE?

What is your requirement for volunteer hours in physical therapy?

    • The DPT faculty and Program strongly encourage volunteer hours in a variety of health care settings that provide physical therapy, but it is not a requirement.  We are interested in your understanding of the breadth of physical therapy so that you are certain that this profession offers you the career that you desire.

Is there anything that I can do to improve my chances of acceptance into the Gannon University DPT Program?

    • It is important to the Gannon University DPT Program that you have a strong science foundation (demonstrated by solid performance in your major and prerequisite courses). Our admission formula focuses on your grade point averages, so a focus on your studies will be well worth your time.

Are you part of the PT CAS application system?

    • Gannon participates in the PT CAS system.  It is important to the Gannon DPT Program that you thoroughly investigate the curriculum and program that we provide.  There are many factors to consider, including instructional methods, clinical site choices, qualifications of the faculty and location.  We want your choice to apply to Gannon to be intentional – because you believe that we are a good match for you and your learning needs.

What sets Gannon apart from other DPT programs?

    1. A curriculum that is highly integrated, emphasizing preparation of a hands-on generalist clinician and the ability to think on your feet.
    2. Faculty that received their physical therapy and doctoral education at different academic institutions, and who regularly practice in the clinic.  This allows us to provide the student with diverse experience and real practice examples.
    3. Students have the opportunity to engage in community service activities while in the program.
    4. Clinical exposure starts in the first year with the first full-time clinical experience occurring after only two semesters of classroom work.
