The need for scientists and healthcare professionals has never been greater, and neither has the number of academic programs offered in the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences.
Integrating advanced technology with dynamic faculty who excel in teaching, scholarship and service, the College offers:
- More than two dozen degree programs from Associate degree to doctoral programs including programs offered in conjunction with medical, dental, veterinary and pharmacy schools.
- A job placement rate of nearly 100% with high placement into graduate and professional schools for the pre-med and related programs.
- The largest comprehensive patient simulation center in the region, the 5,800 square-foot Patient Simulation Center equipped with 14 medium- and high-fidelity patient simulators, intravenous training stations, a computer lab, classroom seating for
40 students and a lobby plasma television.
- A growing enrollment of more than 1500 students, representing 35 percent of Gannon’s total student population.
- New programs in nanotechnology, education/and business leadership tracks in the health science major and additional tracks in a range of pre-professional programs offered in conjunction with LECOM and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
(PCOM).
- Hands-on learning, including multidisciplinary team-based settings, clinical placements and service-learning opportunities, prepares students for the challenges of real-world healthcare
- Unique, faculty-mentored research opportunities including aquatic research on Lake Erie aboard the 48-foot vessel Environaut and through community partnerships with the Tom Ridge Environmental Center and other organizations.
