Accreditation and Licensure

  • Gannon University's Health Profession Programs are accredited and meet the highest national standards. The college holds the following accreditations:

    • The Physician Assistant Program is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
    • The Occupational Therapy Programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
    • The Doctor of Physical Therapy Programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
    • The Respiratory Care Program is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
    • The Radiologic Sciences Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
    • The baccalaureate degree program in nursing/master's degree program in nursing/Doctor of Nursing Practice program and/or post-graduate APRN certificate program at Gannon University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).
    • The Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia Program, a collaborative program with UPMC Hamot School of Anesthesia, is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
    • The Applied Exercise Science program and the Graduate Applied Exercise Physiology program are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
      • The Gannon University-Ruskin, FL Physician Assistant Program has the status of Accreditation-Provisional by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
      • The Master of Athletic Training Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
      • The Master of Science degree program in Speech-Language Pathology is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CAA).
