    • Gannon is a test-blind institution for a majority of our academic programs, however, some academic programs that are partnered with professional schools still require SAT/ACT score submission and for certain scores to be met. The Occupational Therapy program is test-blind, therefore test scores are not reviewed as part of the admission process with the primary focus being academic course selection in high school, grades, personal statements and recommendation letters. SAT/ACT scores can be submitted but are not mandatory.
    • A minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0
    • Demonstrate motivation and curiosity through interests and extracurricular activities.
    • Letters of recommendation are considered, as is the personal statement that is submitted as part of the application process. It is encouraged that the essay discuss a student's reasons for pursuing a career in occupational therapy.
    • Observation or volunteer hours in occupational therapy clinics are not required for admission, but 40 hours are required for the Introduction to Occupational Therapy course your first semester. Getting these hours ahead of time is recommended; additionally, you then have the possibility of getting letters of recommendation from therapists, which can increase your chances of acceptance.
    • Students must have demonstrated efficiency in using tools common to distance education. This might include a learning platform, special courses, or job experience. Students taking an online course at Gannon University will require internet access to utilize Blackboard for their coursework. Blackboard can be found in the http://my.gannon.edu portal.
