Curriculum

  • The goals established for the SLP program are reflected in the curriculum. Each course in the curriculum focuses on development and refinement of knowledge and skills in the process of client management. This process includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and education/advocacy within each setting and with a variety of types of disorders. In addition, the curriculum emphasizes the professional development of the student, as represented in the mission and goals of the program. Academic courses and clinic experiences delineate objectives for application of ethical standards, evidence-based practice, competent communication skills, and serving a diverse society.
