Little Knights Pediatric Occupational Therapy Clinic
The
Little Knights Clinic (LKC) is a student-run pediatric clinic that provides
pro-bono occupational therapy (OT) services to underserved children in the Erie
community. The LKC student board members and student volunteers work
alongside an OT faculty member to collaborate and deliver services. This
opportunity provides students with valuable hands on experience that will help
them become better future clinicians.
We
currently offer services in-person at Gannon’s Human Performance Lab in the
Recreation and Wellness Center. A temperature check is required prior to all
therapy sessions. Masks are encouraged but not required. Our faculty and
students are eager and dedicated to serving our community hands on, taking
safety precautions very seriously.
- The clinic is open for children ages birth - 21 years with a physician prescription for OT services.
- OT services can help improve cognitive, social, sensory, and motor skills to enhance success with play, school and daily living skills.
- The LKC offers occupational
therapy services by 4th year Gannon OT students under the supervision of
licensed OT faculty.
- A recent initiative has started at
Mother Teresa Academy as well, where Gannon OT students and faculty
travel to offer in-school therapy services.
Scheduling
Appointments
