Teaching and Advising is my passion. I was willing to transition from full-time lawyer to full-time professor, and after 10+ years here at Gannon I know that I made the right decision.
Teaching: I pride myself in my teaching. I am the Program Director for Legal Studies/Pre-Law, and I teach everything in the major from Intro to Law to upper-level classes like Constitutional Law. I am also lucky enough to teach some classes in the History program, from introductory US history to upper-levels like The Great War: WW1.
Advising: I am in a unique position to serve as the sole advisor for the major. This allows me direct access to help every student through their undergraduate journey from the moment they start at Gannon. I have been able to consolidate all interested majors (Legal Studies BA, Pre-Law 3/3, Legal Studies Certificate AA, and ND Pre-Law) to be assigned to me directly from the beginning to ensure this process. I pay special attention to make sure these students know what is needed to achieve their goals. This includes GPA considerations, major requirements, LSAT attempts and scoring, law school admissions, potential legal emplyment/internships, resumes and cover letters. I consider all these among my advising specialties.
