Robin S. Archer

  • Assistant Professor
    Clinical M. H. Counseling

My professional identify is that of a counselor, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of individuals who aspire to identify themselves as professional counselors. What I love most about teaching future counselors is that I am able to help train my future colleagues and referral sources who will be providing professional counseling services to help people to heal and manage their personal wellness across the globe!

My research interests are variable but tend to focus on clinical supervision, rural counseling, suicide, career development, practitioner research in counseling, and trauma related issues.

Personally I enjoy spending time with family and friends, running, artistic activities of various genres, reading, roller blading, rock climbing, traveling and meeting people from other areas of the world.

A funny fact about me is that while working on completing a running streak (running at least 1 mile everyday) with a goal of reaching comma day (1,000 consecutive days) I forgot to run on day 851. UPDATE: I started back at day 1 after some time to emotionally recover, and am currently slated to complete the goal on August 25, 2025.
