I immediately returned to Clarion University for two more years to earn my graduate degree. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in General Science-Secondary Education. I have a Master of Education degree in Science Education. I returned to school and achieved a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University in Paoli, Pennsylvania, in May of 2001. My published dissertation was entitled, “Differentiated Instruction in Heterogeneously-Grouped Sixth Grade Classrooms”. I taught middle school grades 6-8 in the Oxford Area School District for six years. During that time, I achieved an Elementary and Secondary Principal Certification from Penn State University. I spent the next 22 years as first an Assistant High School Principal, Middle School Principal and Middle/High School Principal for the Daniel Boone Area School District, Owen J. I served as Superintendent of Schools in two western Pennsylvania school districts. The first was the United School District in Armagh, Pennsylvania, and the Frazier School District in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania. I retired from public education on June 30, 2014. I am currently employed with the Diocese of Pittsburgh and have been with them for the past 10 years. I was previously an adjunct instructor for Immaculata University and taught the Educational Change Course in the Doctoral Program.
