I moved to Erie, PA in 2013 after completing my PhD in Social Psychology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Before beginning my graduate studies, I was a teacher at an international high school in Shanghai. (Fun fact: During WWII, my school was the internment camp for foreigners that inspired Empire of the Sun.) I'm originally from WV, where I received my BS from Bethany College and my MA from Marshall Univeristy.

I love working at Gannon University. The people--both students and colleagues--make this a wonderful community of learning, faith, and service. Most of my teaching load is statistics, but I've had the opportunity to teach some other fun courses, including the Psychology of Genocide, Political Psychology, and a course at the State Correctional Institution at Albion. I am active in community orgnanizations, currently serving on the boards of L'Arche Erie, and the NWPA Pride Alliance. When I'm not at work, I'm cooking vegatarian food and hanging out with my dogs, Tyrion and Claudette.
