My major research interest is to study the role of inflammation in hypothalamic neurons in development of obesity, central insulin resistance and neurodegenerative disorders using neuronal cell models. My other research interest is to investigate the role of early life nutritional insults (malnutrtion and overnutrition) in the growing global epidemic of chronic metabolic disorders, such as obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and diabetes.
