Bradlee W. Gamblin

  • Assistant Professor
    Psychology Program

Hi there! The name's Dr. Bradlee Gamblin, and it's nice to meet you. Since you're here, let me tell you a little about myself. I am originally from a small town called Madisonville located in the western coal country of Kentucky. Since then, I've made many moves throughout the country, including stints in eastern Kentucky, North Dakota, and Missouri, before finally arriving here at Gannon.

From a research perspective, I am interested in social psychology, and more specifically in the psychology of racism and prejudice. Most of my research has explored ways that we can reduce a person's levels of prejudice (or at least reduce their willingness to act on their prejudice). I've also done some work on how jurors make decisions in the courtroom and how different forms of media affect our beliefs. I've published a few articles, and if you're interested in reading them, you can find a list of them below. I'm always looking for undergraduate collaborators who are eager to get involved in research, so if my research sounds interesting to you, get in touch!

On a personal level, if I were to describe my hobbies to someone I would probably describe them as "eclectic". I like reading, but also hiking; I love to cook, but I also like staying up late to finish a video game I'm really into. And even though I'm not from here, I'm a life-long Steelers fan. Feel free to stop by my office sometime if you'd like to discuss any of these topics.
