I joined the Justice Studies and Human Services Department at Gannon University in 2022. I earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at Kansas State University in 2017. My dissertation "Unretirees and the (Re)construction of Age in Post-Industrial America” examines the social and cultural construction of age in unretirement in post-industrial America through interviews and ethnographic research. My substantive research and teaching interests lie in the areas of intersectionality and aging, human trafficking, demography, employment trends, retirement, gender and global inequality, states and social movement.
