Meet Carling Koester, a dedicated speech-language pathologist and member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) with over a decade of experience serving children with diverse communication needs in school settings throughout the Erie community. Now in her 11th year of clinical and educational practice, she brings her passion for student success and her deep understanding of special education standards to every setting she serves.
At Gannon University, Carling is rated by students as an exceptional adjunct professor and clinical instructor, teaching Counseling in Communication Disorders and mentoring graduate clinicians at the Morosky Wellness Speech Language Pathology Clinic. In addition, Carling serves as a clinical supervisor for second year graduate students as an off-site school placement. She loves connecting real-world experiences to classroom learning and is committed to preparing future speech-language pathologists to approach their work with empathy, professionalism, and a strong foundation in evidence-based practice.
Carling is energized by helping students grow into confident, compassionate clinicians and is proud to support the next generation of SLPs.
