Berwyn Moore retired as full professor in 2018 and continues to teach part time as professor emerita. Since the beginning of her career in 1985, Moore has taught  a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, including creative writing and literature, and advised Totem, Gannon's award-winning literary-art magazine. In 2012, Moore received the Gannon University Distinguished Faculty award.

Berwyn Moore's third book, Sweet Herbaceous Miracle, won the 2017 John Ciardi Poetry Prize and was published in 2018 by BkMl Press. She won the 2015 James Dickey Prize for Poetry from Five Pointsd: Jornal of Literaure and Art. She is the author of two additional collections of poetry, O Body Swayed  (Cherry Grove Collections, 2009) and Dissolution of Ghosts (Cherry Grove Collections, 2005), which was runner-up for the Lyre Prize in Poetry. She is the editor of the anthology Dwelling in Possibility: Voices of Erie County and served as the inaugural Poet Laureate of Erie County, Pennsylvania, from 2009 to 2010.

Her poems have appeared widely in national journals, including The Southern Review, Shenandoah, Poetry Northwest, Nimrod, Journal of the American Medical Association, Kansas Quarterly, Runes, Alehouse Review, Cimarron Review and others and in the anthologies, Common Wealth: Poets on Pennsylvania, Only Morning in Her Shoes, and  Life on the Line. She has poems posted on The Best American Poetry and An American Life in Poetry web sites. Her articles have been published in Public Health Reports, The World and I, and the Foreign Service Journal.

Her poetry has won awards from the Bellevue Literary Review, The Pinch Literary Journal, Margie: The American Journal of Poetry, Negative Capability Press, the Tom Howard Poetry Contest, and the Chester H. Jones Foundation.
