Junayed Pasha

Junayed Pasha is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial and Robotics Engineering Program within the Biomedical, Industrial, and Systems Engineering Department at Gannon University. Prior to joining Gannon University, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Florida A&M University–Florida State University College of Engineering. He has served as Program Director and Assessment Coordinator for the ABET accreditation of the Industrial and Robotics Engineering Program.

Dr. Pasha’s research core lies in operations research, transportation, and supply chain management. His work addresses applied problems across a diverse set of areas, including freight transportation and logistics, infrastructure safety, disaster risk management, sustainable and resilient supply chains, and deployment of automation and emerging technologies, using optimization- and simulation-based methods. His research has been supported by agencies, such as the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Transportation, Florida Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, etc. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications, and his work has been featured in national and international media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal.

Dr. Pasha has interdisciplinary teaching experience across industrial engineering, civil engineering, and business disciplines. He is actively engaged in student mentoring and cross-disciplinary research collaborations. He is also involved in several professional organizations, including the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), Transportation Research Board (TRB), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
