Aime J. Rizzuto

Dr. Rizzuto graduated with her Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from D'Youville College in 2002 and her Post-Professional OTD from Gannon University in 2020. Her capstone project was entitled "Person-Centered Dementia Care for Abilities-Based Programming in Long-Term Care". She designed and implemented educational programs about dementia staging and person-centered dementia interventions for interdisciplinary staff working in a long-term care facility using her project. Professionally, Dr. Rizzuto has clinical experience in the following areas of occupational therapy: early intervention, school-based, and geriatrics. Her passion has been working in the long-term care and sub-acute rehab setting since 2004, and she is currently the Director of Rehabilitation at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing in Jamestown, NY. Shortly after graduating with her OTD in the Gannon University Post Professional OTD program, she worked for Gannon as a capstone advisor and adjunct instructor in the GU ppOTD program.
