Zachary J. Schmucker

Dr. Schmucker earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2011 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013, both from Gannon University. His clinical practice was primarily based in acute care hospital rehabilitation, with an emphasis in intensive care medicine and the early mobilization of patients with cardiac and pulmonary dysfunction. He contributed to the development and implementation of an early mobility program and nurse mobility training initiative at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. In 2025, he returned to his alma mater as an Assistant Teaching Professor, where he demonstrates a strong commitment to active learning and the integration of clinical skill application into physical therapy education.
