I began teaching in the Psychology and Counseling Department in 2000 as an adjunct lecturer. It was an exciting opportunity for me as I had just finished my master's degree in counseling and had never thought about teaching. Fast forward 19 years and now I cannot imagine not teaching ! I began teaching in the Dual Enrollment Program for county high school students in 2003 and I am still enjoying working with the high school students many of whom come on to Gannon. I teach human development here on campus, a popular class that has morphed into a life skills class that the students and I enjoy together. I was put in charge of the undergraduate internship in 2015. It has been both challenging and fun to help so many more psychology majors find their way into rewarding internship experiences.
I grew up in Western Pennsylvania and my PA. heart belongs in Pittsburgh where I lived for eight years. I have two grown sons. I enjoy bowling, golf, tennis, watching football especially the Steelers beating the Patriots (like this year 2/16/18) and my passion is cooking which is a classroom all of its own.
