I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Scranton in Elementary Education K - 6 with a minor in Political Science. I earned my Master of Science degree from Walden University in Science Education. My STEM Endorsement is from Wilkes University and my Supervisory Certificate in Curriculum and Instruction is from Gannon University.

For 19 years, I taught all subjects in grades 2, 3, and 4; served as the Elementary Science Coordinator; and was the Elementary STEM Instructional Coach. For two years, I also was an Adjunct Professor for Misericordia University. I have served on many district, local, and state committees involving STEM and science education. I currently serve as the Curriculum Director at the Old Forge School District and am a member of the PennSEL Network for the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

While this will be my first year teaching GEDU 567: STEM Learning and Assessment, I have spent over a year working with the STEM Endorsement team on developing the courses at Gannon University for the STEM Endorsement program.

I enjoy spending time with my son, trail running, hiking, golfing, skiing—really anything outdoors—and have a deep passion for teaching elementary science. I recently was one of the field test teachers for the new OpenSciEd elementary curriculum.

I am excited to welcome you into the STEM Endorsement program! I hope this is a powerful and meaningful educational experience for you at Gannon University—I know it was for me as a student.
