I believe that I have the best job in the world: teaching future professional counselors! Counselors are healers--they help people who are in pain, in crisis, in transition, or who want to optimize their full potential. Counselors work with people whose issues range from dealing with severe mental illness to dealing with a family transition. I have the opportunity to provide training to those that have decided to make this their life's work. I am proud to work in a profession that makes such a valuable contribution to the quality of life that people experience.

I have been an active member of the counseling profession through my leadership and engagement in personal and professional development. I encourage our students to find a way to participate in the profession and to stay involved throughout their career.
