Morgan Schmitt is an undergraduate biology major who wants to pursue a career as a medical illustrator. To help her achieve that goal, she is also minoring in Digital Media. This spring, Morgan was enrolled in an independent study course in biology, in which the goal was to create three pictures of anatomical structures in a cadaver. The biology department offers cadaver-based Human Gross Anatomy lecture and laboratory every semester. Working with her advisor, Dr. Elisa M. Konieczko, and the HGA course coordinator and instructor, Dr. Prasad Dalvi, Morgan created three portraits. The portraits were created as the cadaver was being dissected. Each portrait reveals more depth and more structures. These three portraits will be displayed in Gannon University's Schuster Gallery on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 3 to 5 pm. The Gallery is located at 701 Peach Street (on the corner of Peach Street and West 7th street), in the School of Communication and the Arts building.
