Transportation

  • Parking is always a concern for urban campuses, and Gannon’s is no exception. To assure that parking is orderly and convenient for as many students, faculty and staff members as possible, Gannon University has developed a Parking Regulations and Enforcement Policy with the following three objectives:

    • To provide for the efficient use of available parking space and the orderly flow of access traffic.
    • To protect the safety and security of persons and property.
    • To ensure consistent and fair representation of the needs of the campus community.

This policy is based on the Vehicle Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania the regulations of which are in effect at all times, unless otherwise announced.

Resident Students, Faculty, Administrators, and Staff must register their vehicle(s) with the Campus Police and Safety Office if their vehicle(s) will be parked at Gannon parking locations at any time.

    For Commuter Students

Gannon University does not provide off-street parking for commuter students. However, the University does have an arrangement with the Erie Parking Authority to subsidize a limited number of student parking spaces in ramps in the downtown area. The subsidized program for commuter students is administered by the Office of Parking Services and Commuter Life. The Erie Parking Authority handles all policy and enforcement.

    For Graduate Students

Please view the parking options available for Graduate Students.

    For Visitors

Student temporary visitor permits are available free of charge for a maximum of three (3) days as a courtesy to person(s) who are temporarily the guests of resident students. Visitor permits may be obtained in the Campus Police and Safety office, which is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Other guests to campus may use the many surface and ramp lots maintained by the Erie Parking Authority, many of them on-campus.
