- Online, asynchronous courses offered in seven-week sessions
- 21-credit program to obtain Reading Specialist Certification
- 30-credit program to obtain Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Reading degree and Reading Specialist Certification
Both program options include 42 hours of clinical experience. To obtain Reading Specialist Certification, the graduate student must take and pass the Praxis test.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES
We are now accepting applications for the upcoming Fall
2024 semester (8/19 start). You can get started
by submitting an online application at apply.gannon.edu.
In addition to a submitted application, candidates will be asked
to submit:
- Two letters of recommendation from college professors,
principals, or other qualified educators
- Final, official transcript showing completion of a
Bachelor’s degree in an education related field from a regionally accredited
college or university with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Official transcripts from all other prior institutions
- A valid Instructional I or II certificate
