Gannon University Learning Abroad Scholarship Program
Gannon
University is committed to providing students with enhanced academic
opportunities that will ensure global awareness and multicultural appreciation.
In order to encourage students to study abroad, the Office of Learning Abroad
and International Academic Programs awards scholarships to eligible
undergraduate students based on merit and/or need who will be participating in
any credit-bearing opportunities offered by the Office.
Students
must meet the minimum Grade Point Average requirement of 3.0 to be eligible for
a Learning Abroad Scholarship.
The amount awarded is
dependent on the applicant pool, available funding, and the duration of the
intended program. Students who have enrolled in GIFT Courses or who are
planning a semester or summer abroad will receive information on applying for a
Learning Abroad Scholarship directly from the Director of Learning Abroad and
International Academic Programs.
Outside Scholarship Opportunities
Students are also encouraged to look for additional funding opportunities in outside scholarships. Many federal and private scholarships are available and intended to aid students in pursuit of overseas studies. Some of these available scholarships are listed below, but students are encouraged to do research for additional funds if necessary.
