    Gannon students may spend a semester abroad at one of the partner institutions listed below. Eligible students* may be able to use federal financial aid and Gannon scholarships.

    *Students wishing to study abroad for a semester must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better and be in good academic standing. Those who wish to apply for Learning Abroad Scholarships must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

    American University of Rome

    Located on the Janiculum Hill in Rome, Italy, the study abroad program at the American University of Rome is ideal for students of all programs, as many courses offered abroad will fulfill students' Liberal Studies Core requirements. AUR offers courses in Art History, Archaeology and Classics, Business Studies, Communication and English, Fine Arts, Film and Digital Media, International Relations, Italian, and more.

    Australian Catholic University

    Students interested in studying abroad at Australian Catholic University can choose from three campuses, located in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. Programs of study at ACU are open to Gannon students of all majors, and are an especially good fit for Gannon students studying health sciences. Students can take courses from the faculties of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Health Sciences, and Theology and Philosophy. Before choosing a campus, students should ensure that all courses needed are offered on that campus.

     Catholic University of Lille

    Students can choose to study from any of the Institutes at the Catholic University of Lille, which include Arts, Humanities, Education, Social Work, Theology; Law, Economics, Management, Business; Health and Social Care; Sciences and Technologies. Students should choose courses from no more than one institute, due to conflicting course offerings and academic calendars. For example, students should focus on business courses, Liberal Studies Core courses, etc.

    Hochschule Esslingen University of Applied Sciences

    Programs of study at Hochscule Esslingen University of Applied Sciences are open to students of all majors, however, students studying Business, Computer Science, and Engineering will be ideal candidates for a semester exchange.

    Hochschule Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences

    Programs of study at Hochscule Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences are open to students of all majors, though the university offers a very strong business and engineering component, and so is recommended for students in the College of Engineering and Business.

    Students interested in studying topics such as Global Marketing Management, International Business and International Public Health (among other topics) are encouraged to consider the International Summer University of Germany, hosted by Hoschschule Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. Courses are taught in English and students will have the opportunity to interact with fellow students from all over the world during this three-week program.

    Maria Curie-Sklodowska University

    At Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, home to six schools of higher education, Gannon students pursuing their MBA can continue their studies (courses are taught in English) in Lublin, Poland.

    Mary Immaculate College

    Programs of study at Mary Immaculate College are open to students of all majors and are an especially good fit for students in the School of Education. Students can take courses in a range of subjects, including but not limited to: French Studies, Irish Language for Beginners, History, Irish Heritage Studies, Music, Philosophy, and Theology and Religious Studies.

    Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso

    Courses of study at PUCV are open to students of all majors, though a proficiency in Spanish is strongly recommended. Students can study courses including architecture, design, industrial engineering, business, law, and Spanish.

    Students who cannot spend a full semester at PUCV, but are still interested in studying in Chile are encouraged to consider PUCV's Short-Term Intensive Programs, held in the summer.

    Located in Christchurch, New Zealand, University of Canterbury offers students the opportunity to take courses in a number of disciplines, including but not limited to: Accounting, biochemistry, Chemical and Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, English, Environmental Science, Exercise Science, Management, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Philosophy, and Political Science and International Relations.  

    A semester exchange at University of Canterbury is ideal for students with flexibility in their schedule to take some major electives or general electives while overseas. More information on their programs can be found here.

    With two campuses located in Seville and Cordoba, Spain, Universidad Loyola Andalucia offers courses taught in English and Spanish. Courses are offered in International Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, Criminology, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Information Technology, Industrial Organization Engineering, and more.

    These programs are ideal for students with Spanish proficiency, students minoring in Spanish, or for students with flexibility in their schedule to take major and general electives overseas.
