The Gannon University College Access Program (GU-CAP) provides a unique opportunity for selected students in high school to experience campus life, earn college credit, and attain admission into degree programs – all before earning their high-school diploma.
How it Works
In those countries where students take exams that lead to secondary-school completion, tests are usually administered in the fall (October or November) with results conveyed in March or April of the following year; examples include variations on the Ordinary Level and Advanced Level (O and A Level) examinations. While waiting for test results, students can spend the spring semester in the United States taking college-level courses and earning credits toward a US-based, university degree.

- Visa and Immigration Support – Benefit from support in processes that will help you attain your F-1 visa for both the GU-CAP and continuation of your degree at Gannon.
- International Award – Benefit from a special international award – up to $6,000 USD – continued eligibility should you decide to continue with your degree at Gannon.

Requirements for Participation
- High school student prepared to take any exam that will allow for secondary-school completion
- Preliminary exam results with a GPA of 3.0 or equivalent per exam scores
- TOEFL iBT of 79, IELTS score of 6.0, or an equivalent for students whose native language is not English
- Two letters of recommendation
- Statement of purpose
- Secondary-school permission
- Parental permission
- Application for participation
- Submission of required documents by October 31st in advance of the following spring semester
