Academic Support
Service members should coordinate with their Education Service Officers (ESO)/Academic Advisor regularly. Academic Advisors are selected for each student based on the student's major/program of study. Students are notified of their advisor's name and
contact information at orientation. Advisor information is located on all class schedules and is prominently listed on student personalized log-on in the Gannon portal.
The Student Success Center (SSC) also provides support services, including academic advising, career counseling, tutoring, programming, and resources for students at Gannon University. The SSC staff uses a proactive, developmental advising model which
promotes student success by assisting students in identifying and removing obstacles to learning. The SSC serves as the primary resource for academic support and referral, and is committed to assisting students with resolving academic concerns, meeting
educational and career goals, and connecting to campus resources. Our offices work together to help students thrive within the University community.
Making Our Multiple Financial Aid Options Work for You
Between the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, the Yellow Ribbon program, VA educational benefits scholarships, grants and loans, there are a lot of financial aid options for veterans at Gannon University.
That’s why Gannon University has a dedicated, full-time financial aid counselor on staff to help you sort through the confusing thicket of options available to you. Our goal is simple: To make it simple for you so that you can concentrate on your classes
and your post-military life and career.
This means that you can afford a Gannon Education, and we will work with you to make your financial transition to college life as seamless and worry-free as possible.

Gannon Participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program
Gannon proudly participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program established by the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.
Through this program it is possible for some veterans to receive up to 100% coverage of additional charges.
Only veterans who are entitled to the maximum benefit rate (based on service requirements) may receive funding from the Yellow Ribbon Program.
Policy on VA Tuition and Fees Payment
Beneficiaries of Chapter 33 and Chapter 31 may attend a course of education or training from the date the beneficiary provides a certificate of eligibility or valid VAF 28-1905 to the School Certifying Official (SOC).
Upon receipt of the Certificate of Eligibility (COE), a screen shot of the eBenefits Web page or VA form 28-1905, Gannon University will provide pending credit for eligible recipients of Chapter 33 or Chapter 31 benefits.
Beneficiaries of Chapter 33 or Chapter 31 will not be required to take out loans to cover tuition and fee charges due to late payments from the Veteran Administration (VA).
Beneficiaries of Chapter 33 or Chapter 31 will not incur penalties such as additional fees or have schedules dropped for non-payment due to late payments from the Veteran Administration (VA).
