Ronilyn Reilly ’90

Ronilyn Reilly, come on down. You’re the next Producer on The Price is Right!

Dream jobs don’t usually just happen. They are the product of hard work and dedication in your field of interest. For Ronilyn Reilly of Burbank, California, her journey from Gannon University to Television Producer on The Price is Right has been full of accomplishments.

Locally, Reilly interned in Pittsburgh at KDKA TV, and co-hosted the Arthritis Telethon in Erie. After graduation, she pursued work in California and held positions as an NBC Page, and as a talent associate for Entertainment Tonight. Reilly went on to receive 3 Emmy nominations as a Producer in the category of Outstanding Lifestyle Series for Home & Family on the Hallmark Channel.

Reilly came to Gannon from her hometown of Greensburg, PA. “The communication arts program at Gannon is the best place to learn a multitude of skills that you will need to get your foot in the door of the entertainment field and keep it there. The practical experience offered truly prepares you to hit the ground running with your first job and beyond,” Reilly shared recently.

As a TV Producer, Reilly writes scripts, prepares interview questions, develops and executes talk show segments, prepares hosts for on-camera interviews, and (currently) writes The Price is Right showcases. She loves having the opportunity to get to know some of the people she grew up seeing on television and coming up with questions to find out more about their lives.

Ronilyn’s interests include listening to live music, staying fit and healthy, anything from the 80’s and dogs. She is an advocate of a healthy work/life balance and gives detailed attention to both.

Her parting advice to current and future Gannon students is “Work hard and be patient. If you stay focused you can achieve your goals. Don’t let minor setbacks slow you down. Keep going!”
