Mary Beth Reilly graduated from Gannon University in 1995 with her bachelor’s degree in nursing. While a student at Gannon, Mary Beth participated in intramural sports and loved every moment of making new friends and competing! In addition to intramurals, she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. She has fond memories of her time at Gannon and says her absolute favorite memory is two people that impacted her, Fr. Orbanek and Karen Lumia.
Mary Beth is currently serving as a Pediatric flight nurse. Her job requires her to be responsible for coordination and delivery of medical care to her patients in all phases of transport. Her work requires her to think critically and provide care for those she has on board with her flight team. In addition to her nursing career as a flight nurse, Mary Beth also spent time working in the pediatric ICU.
When Mary Beth is not out in the field, she enjoys spending her free time with those she holds closest to her, her husband Josh and their two children. They enjoy going to the beach and spending quality time together as a family.
When asked what Mary Beth’s favorite Gannon tradition was, she said without hesitation, Homecoming Weekend. Homecoming weekend is a time of year that the Gannon community comes together and celebrates the longstanding traditions of Gannon, including our Villa Maria College grads. Her advice to those attending school or thinking about applying is to “enjoy college life, the friends you make in college are friends for life. They see you at your best and worst and will always be by your side.”
In the next five years she is hoping to be retired and enjoying her life with her favorite people, her family.
