David’s post-Gannon career assumed a winding path that took him turning throughout the manufacturing industry. Graduating from Gannon in 1971 with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, he began working for Elgin Electronics and was eventually granted the title of Plant Manager before leaving to work as an Area Manager of Lord Corporation's aerospace division. David would then later return to Elgin Electronics as their Vice President of Manufacturing.
In 1992, David joined Bliley Technologies / Sunburst Electronics as their President and during his stay, went back to school to earn his Master of Business Administration, specializing in Operations Management, from Gannon in 1983. In 2005, David left the industry to become a faculty member at the University of Pitt-Bradford.
David would finally return to work as Vice President of Operations for Better Baked Foods before retiring in 2011. His forty years of leadership within the manufacturing industry was fueled by – and revolved around – the education he received at Gannon University.
