During her time at Gannon, Jennifer Greevy combined extracurricular activities with her classroom teachings to hone her communicative abilities and set a solid foundation on which to build her professional success. As both a news director for WERG-FM and a member of the Gannon Knight staff, her well-rounded approach to the university’s Communication Arts program has allowed her to become an articulate communicator. Atop that, Jennifer was a member of Lambda Sigma Honor Society, a tutor, and worked in the Gannon Writing Center.
Today, Jennifer is the Director of Internal Communications and Recognition for Giant Eagle, Inc. “I oversee and lead executive, leadership, and internal communications at Giant Eagle in their corporate office, as well as all of their employee recognition programs,” she explains. Her work has led her to receive several awards, including Ragan Communications Best Annual Report Award, Top Women in Grocery-Rising Star Award, various Associate Press awards, the Golden Quill Investigative Journalism Award, and Young Erie Professional’s Generation E Leadership Award.
Recently, Jennifer published her first children’s book, entitled We ALL Love Pancakes. The book strives to point out the normality of diversity - hoping to instill the notion in young children - creating a life-long impression of acceptance, and is available for sale at Amazon.com.
“Continually pray, learn and grow,” Jennifer recommends. “Be open to meeting new people and trying new things.”
