From books to business, Dr. Stacey J. Hitt is constantly working on something. Earning his bachelor’s in management information systems in 1987 from Gannon University, he lettered all four years as a member of the men’s basketball team. Continuing on, Stacey received his MBA in 1988, then attended The Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio and received his doctorate in internet communications and knowledge management.
Today, Stacey runs his information technology and management company and when time permits, teaches a few courses at the universities around Miami-Dade County in Florida. He hopes to diversify his firm into green and smart technology and publish a few more books in the future. His most recent writing is entitled B4Champions: The Reality of Junior Tennis in Florida. The book acts as motivation for kids to continually pursue their dreams at all costs – something Stacey and his wife believe in as they coach and manage their daughters’ athletic careers.
Mentoring children has also been something Stacey and his wife have taken part in for the past 10 years. Together, they founded the “Assist by Hitt Foundation” for this purpose and hope to begin helping children around the Erie, Pennsylvania area.
